Who you are contracting with
The MindFuel app and this website are operated by Chris Cleary, an individual in Ireland, using the MindFuel brand. MindFuel is not a registered company. Contact: hello@mindfuellabs.app.
If you buy a subscription, Google Play is the store that takes payment. Play’s terms and the price Play shows at purchase also apply to that purchase.
The service
MindFuel is a general wellness app for Android. It includes a daily rhythm, guided breathing, sleep logging, ambient sound, progress that stays on the device, reset tools, Emergency Assistance, and optional Google Play subscriptions when those are offered. The public website at mindfuellabs.app explains the app and hosts these terms, the privacy policy, and support. The website is not the app.
The app’s own safety notice says it has not been evaluated or approved as a medical device. Nothing in the app is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Accounts
You need an account to use the main app. You can register with email and a password or with Google, through Supabase. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping the sign-in details to yourself.
MindFuel is not directed at children. In Ireland the digital age of consent is 16. The app does not currently check age. Do not create an account if you are under 16. If you are 16 or 17, you should only use the app with a parent or guardian’s agreement where that is required where you live.
Plans and billing
The app describes two optional subscription tiers, Standard and Gold, intended to be sold through Google Play. Gold includes the Standard catalogue. If a plan is for sale, Google Play must show the price, currency, tax, billing frequency, whether it auto-renews, and any trial, before you pay. This website does not quote those figures, because they come from Play at purchase time.
As described in the app, Standard includes the seven Calm / Reset breathing exercises, sleep sounds and wind-down audio, habit tracking and Progress, and core Reset. Gold adds training and challenge breathing and the advanced audio collections. A subscription is not required solely because this page exists; what the published app actually locks is whatever the live app and Play catalogue show.
Billing, renewal, and cancellation for a Play purchase are handled by Google Play. In the app, manage or cancel from Profile by opening Google Play’s subscription settings. Restore purchases in Profile checks the current RevenueCat identity, which is your Supabase user id. Restoring does not move a purchase onto a different MindFuel account by itself.
Deleting the app, resetting on-device data, or asking for account deletion does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it in Google Play. Refunds follow Google Play and any extra rights you have under Irish or EU consumer law (including, where they apply, the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and the Consumer Rights Directive). No separate MindFuel refund scale is published here. EU consumers may also have a statutory cooling-off period for distance contracts; for digital content or services that start immediately, that right can be lost if you agree to immediate performance. Use Play’s process and, if you need help, email hello@mindfuellabs.app.
Wellness and safety
The in-app safety notice, which you are asked to read before the first breathing session, is part of how the app expects to be used:
- Stop immediately if you feel dizzy, light-headed, tingly, short of breath, uncomfortable in the chest, or otherwise unwell.
- Talk to a doctor before controlled breathing if you have, or suspect, epilepsy or seizures, a heart or blood-pressure condition, a respiratory condition, an anxiety or panic disorder, pregnancy, or any condition that controlled breathing could affect.
- Do not practise breath holds in or near water, while driving, or while operating machinery.
- Practise seated or lying down somewhere stable.
Emergency Assistance is a directory stored in the app. It can open the phone or SMS app. MindFuel does not contact emergency services for you. The grounding flow in Reset is a breathing and senses exercise. It is not dispatch and not a crisis line.
STOP and TIPP cards in the app are short skill reminders. They are not a DBT programme. Bilateral sound is labelled in the app as not EMDR therapy.
Guided reflection
Guided reflection is a writing and chat tool. Replies are generated by Google Gemini through the MindFuel API. The request can include your display name, onboarding goal, and recent conversation turns. The assistant is instructed not to diagnose, not to give medical, legal, financial, or medication advice, and not to present itself as a therapist or emergency service. You should not rely on a reply as professional advice. If a reply is wrong or unhelpful, stop using it for that decision.
Do not send information you are not willing to have processed by the API and by Google as described in the privacy policy.
Acceptable use
Use the app for yourself, in line with these terms and with Google Play’s rules. Do not misuse the reflection endpoint, attempt to bypass rate limits, probe the service, or use MindFuel to harm someone else. Do not use the app as your plan for a medical or safety emergency.
Your content and ours
You keep the text you write in the app. You give permission to process it only as needed to provide the features you use, including sending a reflection conversation to Gemini, as described in the privacy policy. On-device history is not a licence to publish your journal.
The app, the logo, and this website’s text belong to Chris Cleary, aside from third-party components. If you email feedback to hello@mindfuellabs.app, it may be used to fix or change the app.
Availability and liability
The app and website are provided as they are offered today. Features can change, and sign-in, reflection, or purchases can fail when a provider is unavailable.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that Irish or EU law does not allow to be limited. Mandatory consumer rights still apply. The in-app safety notice also asks you to stop if you feel unwell; that notice does not replace those rights.
Ending use
You can stop using MindFuel at any time, sign out, use Reset app data (that clears local wellness storage on that phone and does not sign you out), and cancel a Play subscription in Google Play. You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account) or as described on the support page. The operator may suspend an account that misuses the service.
If these terms change, the date on this page will change. For a change that is material to a paid subscription, you will still have the cancellation route in Google Play.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. If you are a consumer living in the EEA or the United Kingdom, you also keep any mandatory protections of the country where you live. You may bring a consumer claim in the courts of Ireland or, where the law allows, the courts of the place where you live. Irish consumers can get independent information from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission at ccpc.ie.
